What is the battery life for the Transmita Vii?
A fully charged Transmitter will last for 6 hours of constant use. A fully charged Receiver will squeeze out
8 hours of constant use.
How can I recharge my Transmita Vii?
The Transmita Vii will charge via the mains adaptor AND it can charge from the USB cable.
Each pack contains a USB cable and a mains adaptor. We do offer the Transmita Vii with
a choice of UK, EU, or US mains adaptors. Please make sure you buy the right pack from your retailer.
Can I use the Transmita Vii with my computer?
Yes. Just plug it in using the USB cable provided and your computer should detect it. While it is plugged
in it will automatically override the default audio output so you don't need to adjust any of your computer settings.
I have a wireless network in my home, can I still use the Transmita Vii?
If your wireless network doesn't work in the 2.4GHz band then yes. If it does then you may need to select a
different channel on the Transmita Vii so it doesn't interfere with your
wireless network. But we have tested the Transmita Vii in a very crowded
network space and we are very happy with the results.
Will the Transmita Vii transmit to other wireless devices that use the 2.4GHz frequency?
In theory this is possible and we have had some success in getting the Transmita Vii
to work with similar devices. It all depends on the band on the 2.4GHz frequency that the other device is set
up to use. However, we do not currently have any products that we officially support in this way.
What is the range for the Transmita Vii?
No matter what we say someone will always prove us wrong with this one. The best thing to say is that the fewer obstructions
you put in the way the further the signal will travel. That said, we are very confident that you can get 50 metres (the
official transmission distance) out of the Transmita Vii.
How far can I throw my Transmita Vii?
That all depends on how strong you are and wind direction. We don't recommend you try it though! Thanks to Dave
for this question.
Can the battery in the Transmita Vii be replaced?
As of 30/06/07 we have not yet finalised the battery replacement procedure for the Transmita Vii.
However, we do provide this service successfully for the MiniDAB models and we do intend to offer it for the
Transmita Vii. We hope to confirm news on this matter within the next month.
