The Oono MINIDAB has been making waves in the audio market for being high quality product with unique functionality. Here’s what the critics have said about the MINIDAB

TRIED AND TESTED: OONO MINIDAB MD-ONE
Metro Newspaper August 2006

Metro Newspaper logoOn paper, this device from British company Oono is an iPod killer. Besides playing MP3s, it offers a DAB radio. You can record the radio as well as external sounds via a mic or stereo port. There's a 128MD internal memory and an SD card slot allowing infinite expansion of your listening library via removable memory cards. And it comes in black or white. Oh, there's also a built-in speaker. Phew!

Remarkably light and producing good-quality sound, for the price and the functions, this one gets a firm 'Oh,yes!'

OONO MINIDAB MD01 PERSONAL RADIO
Mail on Sunday Day& Night Live August 2006

Mail on Sunday logoIn addition to picking up digital and FM stations, this DAB radio also plays MP3s and can record radio to its 128Mb memory or an SD card. Listen through headphones or the built-in mono speaker. Battery is rechargeable.

VERDICT: Sleek pocket radio with impressive reception. Easily the best all-round digital radio.

OONO MINIDAB: THE DABINCI CODE - CNET.co.uk

CNET logoWoody Allen once said that "80 per cent of success is showing up", and by this rationale the Oono's unbidden arrival on our desk this morning assures it a positive response. Luckily for Oono, this pocket DAB-MP3 player-voice recorder combo is not just a headline writer's dream -- it's actually rather good.

...we were greeted by fairly reliable reception that dealt well with the challenges of the building we're in.

The LCD readout on the Oono will please radio enthusiasts, as there's a reassuring amount of technical-looking information on the screen.

OONO MOMENTUS - Stuff magazine June 2006

Stuff Magazine logoIn our twisted world, Kelly Brook can get a job as a TV presenter and the perfect McDonald’s portion is somewhere just between one and two Big Mac meals. Hence we cry like grown men crying when something full of common sense and following the natural order of things swings our way. Far from a bastard child, the Oono is the offspring of a perfect union of MP3 player and DAB radio. It’s blessed with 128MB for storing tunes and recording from radio, plus there’s and SD card slot for adding another 2GB. But the icing on the well-thought out cake: it’s pocket sized.

PORTABLE MP3 PLAYER OFFERS DIGITAL RADIO ON THE MOVE - Pocket-lint: Audio & MP3 Players

Pocket-Lint logoReaders not content with the idea of a portable digital radio that does nothing but allow you to tune into the radio might consider checking out a new MP3 DAB radio on the block from Oono (www.oono.co.uk).

Feature packed, the player offers DAB with FM radio, MP3 playback (via 128MB internal memory and an SD card slot that can take up to 2GB), Voice Recoring, Programmable Radio Recording, and a Built-In Speaker.

The unit can also record from other devices via a Line-In.

OONO MINIDAB by Steve Luckings - talkSport: 1089/1053AM and Digital Radio

talkSPORT logoCompanies are falling over themselves trying to outdo each other in the quest for the latest and best gadgets. First the caveman invented the wheel, WG Grace invented beards and then Thomas Edison invented electricity.

And as we move into the electronic age of Digital radio, MP3 players and things with bright lights and lots of knobs on, we must take our hats off to Oono for coming up with something so stylish that you could stick a Martini in it’s hand and send it out on the prowl in one of London’s swankiest bars.

The Oono MINIDAB is a handheld music companion that will provide you with hours of entertainment. It has both DAB/FM radio with an MP3 player, voice recorder and has advanced recording capability so you can walk along listening to the sounds of your favourite tunes and even record them straight from the radio via a daily or weekly timer function - totally unattended!

This means if you’re out on the town and have forgotten to press the all-important record button, don’t worry. Simply set the time of the show you want recording and continue to party like it was 1999.

A lightweight, rechargeable battery powers it, lasting for hours. No matter what format your sounds are on, you can listen to them anywhere in crystal clear digital sound. You can even sing along while you’re on the bus as hoards of school children sit behind ripping pi$$ out of your not so angelic tones.

It has a Memory Card slot to support SD cards up to 2GB. Plus there is a built-in speaker should you want to share your music. The MINIDAB gives you the all-in-one media experience in an unbelievably small and compact unit.

talkSPORT verdict: Small, wicked sound and loads of memory – a real pocket dynamo!
